I came up with the idea to sew a beeswax liner inside of a linen bag that I made as
the result of a sourdough bread making class that I took from Chef Matt Duffy on
June 2, 2018. It was from talking with him about how to store sourdough and artisan
breads that the need to find a solution other than a regular linen bag was needed.
After much trial and error, I got the idea to sew the beeswax covered cloth inside the
linen bag. I tested and came up with the best wax formula that would work. That
formula is proprietary to Keeki and has been used since 2019.
We are a small Toronto, Canada based company that has been in existence since
we sold our first bag mid-Covid, June 1, 2020. Thanks to many supporters helping
to spread the word, the Keeki Bag has been used by over 100,000 users worldwide.
When you buy a Keeki Bag, you are purchasing the original concept from the true
inventor. Thank you for supporting this small idea, that has become a worldwide
kitchen essential.
