If the Keeki® Bags has been exposed to mold, it is imperative to kill the spores.
If you resume use of the Keeki® Bag for organic materials without taking care of this issue, it will continue to give mold a place to develop.
If you have found mold exposure in your Keeki® Bag:
Turn the bag inside out. Wipe the beeswax with an antibacterial wipe or some hydrogen peroxide. Then, wash with cool water and mild dish soap & hang to dry. Expose the part that exhibited mold in direct sunlight. The sunlight will aid in the destruction of existing mold spores. By direct, we mean outside, not through a window.
Just like wild yeast, mold spores are in the air. Therefore, it is important to keep checking any food stored in the Keeki® Bag for mold growth. In the right conditions, mold will grow anywhere.
