from 51 reviewsWorking great for us! Keeps loaf happy, bag is easy to clean. Good purchase!

I was pleased with the quality and the looks of the Keeki Bag. It kept my homemade bread fresh for about 4 days -- on the 5th day I toasted it.

This has been a game changer for keeping our homemade bread fresh. It keeps the crust crusty and the inside soft (without being spongey). Hugely recommend

This bag created and sold by Keeki is a wonderful addition to my kitchen bread baking experience. Keeping my bread fresh and less likely to spoil as in other containers.

So far very pleased with my bag. Good quality, delivered promptly. It was expensive I thought but I’m sure it will last a long time

So great!
I am on day 6 and my bread is just now starting to get slightly hard edges.
Thank you for creating this!!

My sourdough loaves last about five days before they mold. I didn’t finish a loaf this week and by day seven, still no visible mold! The loaves are much more fresh than they are when kept in plastic!

I bought these for my daughter in law who bakes every weekend as a birthday gift. She was pleasantly surprised and planned to use them immediately.

Have been struggling with how to keep sourdough is best since I can't eat a whole loaf in 2 or 3 days. Then this came into my life and can enjoy my sourdough all week!

These bags work great! The quality is wonderful and my bread stays fresh!

I was using plastic bags before this and it’s not even close! These definitely keep my bread fresher, longer. I haven’t had to really clean them yet. Just wipe them out and reuse so I’m not sure what happens when they get dirtier. Assuming they last, this is a no brainer if you’re making your own bread.

FAQs
Frequently Asked Questions
1. How do I care for my Keeki™ Bag?
Wipe interior with a cool damp dishcloth. To clean the exterior linen you can brush or wipe gently with cold soapy water. Avoid hot water.
2. Why is my bread drying out quickly?
Because the Keeki® Bag is not airtight like a plastic bag, it is not optimal for use with pre-sliced bread.
If the bread has been cut, eliminate as much air in the bag as possible. We suggest folding any excess parts of the bag over its contents. Furthermore, put the cut edge of the loaf flat against the interior beeswax lining. Try to reduce the inner crumb from being exposed to any excess air.
You can also add a piece of wax paper against the cut face. Ultimately, how quickly a loaf dries out is very dependent on the hydration of the dough, flour used, temperature, humidity of your kitchen.
3. What is the Keeki® Bag made of?
The exterior is a linen & cotton blend, and the interior is a beeswax coated cotton fabric.
4. Can I use the Keeki® bag in the freezer?
No, you cannot use the Keeki® Bags in the freezer.
The beeswax will not function as intended in extreme cold or hot temperatures. Whenever you freeze anything, it should be in an airtight container to prevent any moisture loss that leads to freezer burn.
5. My bread has developed mold, how should I treat my Keeki® Bag?
If the Keeki® Bags has been exposed to mold, it is imperative to kill the spores.
If you resume use of the Keeki® Bag for organic materials without taking care of this issue, it will continue to give mold a place to develop.
If you have found mold exposure in your Keeki® Bag:
Turn the bag inside out. Wipe the beeswax with an antibacterial wipe or some hydrogen peroxide. Then, wash with cool water and mild dish soap & hang to dry. Expose the part that exhibited mold in direct sunlight. The sunlight will aid in the destruction of existing mold spores. By direct, we mean outside, not through a window.
Just like wild yeast, mold spores are in the air. Therefore, it is important to keep checking any food stored in the Keeki® Bag for mold growth. In the right conditions, mold will grow anywhere.
Please refer to the “Care Instructions” portion of the product description for additional information & preventative measures.
